Can't say so much about the installer, though, > as I use it way longer than I actually install it, and lack the > time for doing additional VM based installer testings to be honest... :( While day-to-day testing is certainly important, the purpose of the milestone testing is focused around making sure the images are rock-solid (particularly so for Beta and RC milestones). So testing of the installer and live-sessions etc. The image cannot be updated after release so this is very important. Bugs in apps on the otherhand can and do get fixed after release.
