While day-to-day testing is certainly important, the purpose of the milestone
testing is focused around making sure the images are rock-solid
(particularly so for Beta and RC milestones). So testing of the installer and
live-sessions etc. The image cannot be updated after release so
this is very important. Bugs in apps on the otherhand can and do get fixed
after release.
