Sadly, so many faded away, so few remained :(

I guess I figured out what you were trying to explain here. In short, you
are suggesting to have a *very specific list of tasks* so that people can
check and choose whatever suit them.

If that is so, I highly agree. From 4 years with heavy involvement within
several Ubuntu Communities, I can admit that one of the things that pushed
away many beginners and newcomers is the lack of *very specific list of
tasks* ...

We do have this:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/GettingInvolved

And I call it a masterpiece that I have put so much sweat, blood and tears
to build from scratch. It is designed to guide you through the steps
without the need to ask one single Q.
However, it is not designed - apparently - to newcomers and beginners.
Those with some experience and skills had no problems to go through that
page. In fact, some of them emailed me and saying "we are already" and "we
have gone through the steps on that page" so that was a very happy moments
for me. On the other hands, I have had hard time with newcomers who has
almost no previous experience in any community or any kind of work.

I guess if we could just add 'new' section to the getting involved page: a
very specific list of tasks .. I guess this is going to be very effective
and helpful :)

No more launchpad stuff. Only myself and very few people know how to use it
anyway :)

What do you think about what I suggested ;)

By the way, this is a public invite from my side to you as we do need
people like you. I wish you could have more contributions to Ubuntu GNOME
for this cycle and the future ones :)

We do care about quality over quantity.
