It's not like I intend to do it right away, since my contribution currently isn't a big thing (just a few translations), but the original intent is *IF* a potential employer would want to do a background check on a user (in my country this is common) it'd be nice to have someone who could back the info up.

Y'all have a nice evening!

You are free to add your contribution to the project, but I don't see the point of "officially" vouching as we are not technically a corporation or anything, we are all contributors here.

Personally, my experience says that it's not a bad thing to include your experience in open source projects if you believe it's something that makes you a better candidate for an specific job. Your very own word is most of times enough proof for your potential employers.

Cheers,
Alfredo

    Hello,

I guess the page who we are is what you search
    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/GettingInvolved/WhoWeAre

you can add your name there. BUT anyone who wants to be vouched, he
can add his name there without contribute to the project. That's
something we should be aware of.
Other wiki systems have a feature where you can see the wiki
contribution by clicking on the username.

    Have phun,
    Stathis
