Και τα 2 είναι μια χαρά ανάλογα με το τι θες να κάνεις:
* Το μηχάνημα είναι local ή remote?
local: desktop
remote: server
* Τα virtualbox θα τρέχουν server ή desktop εφαρμογές;
* Τα development εργαλεία είναι command-line ή IDE-style?
Από αυτά εξαρτάται γενικά η σωστή απάντηση για την περίπτωσή σου.
