Ο μόνος λόγος να περάσεις σε 4.3 που δίνεις είναι παρακάτω :

- not contain alpha and beta releases like 4.3.0~beta2
- not contain updates to the next major (4.4.x)
- contain minor release updates and their release candidates -- these can be
considered stable

Εγώ μπορώ να επιβεβαιώσω ότι στην έκδοση που έχω 4.3.3.2 (ppa)

Τρέχω Linux Mint 17 Qiana που ουσιαστικά είναι Ubuntu 14.04
και το LibreOffice που έχω είναι 4.3.3.2 με ppa.
Αλλάζει κανονικά.
Μπορώ να πω επίσης ότι έως τώρα όλες εκδώσεις LibreOffice που
είχα είναι από ppa δεν είχε κάποιο σοβαρό πρόβλημα εκτός από
κάποιο θέμα με πακέτο libreoffice-style-human που ταιριάζει σε
Ubuntu.
Οπότε εάν για κάποιον είναι σημαντικό να λειτουργεί το
LibreOffice Calc δοκιμάστε το με ppa και ενημερώστε αν κάνει
το ίδιο.

Για το Ubuntu 14.04 έχει ήδη υπάρξει ενημέρωση
που διορθώνει το πρόβλημα

Υπάρχει ένα σοβαρό ζήτημα με το LibreOffice
Calc που είναι διαθέσιμο
τώρα
στο Ubuntu.
Συγκεκριμένα, αυτή η λειτουργία ταξινόμησης
πίνακα με πολλές στήλες
έχει
πρόβλημα.
Κάποιες από τις στήλες μπορεί να μην
ταξινομηθούν αν και είναι
μαρκαρισμένες.

1. Αυτό που κάνουμε, είναι απλά να περιμένουμε

Έχει ένα test file (.ods) που το ανοίγεται στο
LibreOffice Calc
(ανοίγει
με
κλικ στο αρχείο).
Μετά, μαρκάρετε από B6 μέχρι E14, και κλικ στο
Δεδομένα (Data) →
Ταξινόμηση
(Sort). Επιλέγετε να γίνει ταξινόμηση κατά τη
στήλη D.
Πατάτε OK, και θα δείτε ότι η στήλη Ε
παραμένει ως έχει ενώ θα έπρεπε
και
αυτή να αλλάξει σε συμφωνία με τη στήλη D.
3. Είναι εντάξει να χρησιμοποιήσουμε το
LibreOffice, ωστόσο για το Calc
είναι καλό να αποφύγουμε μια τέτοια ταξινόμηση
που περιγράφουμε στο 1.
4. Υπάρχει δυνατότητα να γυρίσουμε στην έκδοση
LibreOffice 4.2.3 που
είχε
στην αρχή το Ubuntu 14.04. Δεν έχω πρόχειρες
τις εντολές που
χρειαζόμαστε,
οπότε αν κάποιος μπορεί να προτείνει, ας το
αναφέρει εδώ.
