Please sync cluster-glue from Debian unstable. All ubuntu changes were accepted in Debian. This should be high priority sync since ABI is broken.
Thank you ** Summary changed: - binary incompatibility of cluster-glue in ubuntu with all versions before and after + [FFE] Please sync cluster-glue (universe) from Debian unstable (1.0.5-1) -- [FFE] Please sync cluster-glue (universe) from Debian unstable (1.0.5-1) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570096 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu High Availability Team, which is subscribed to cluster-glue in ubuntu. Status in “cluster-glue” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Binary package hint: cluster-glue Together with Dejan, I'm the linux-ha upstream maintainer. Ubuntu needs to urgently re-sync from debian unstable (cluster-glue 1.0.5). cluster-glue 1.0.3+hg2366 unfortunately contains this patch: http://hg.linux-ha.org/glue/rev/81ad41d14f72 that introduces ABI incompatibility without even bumping the soname. This makes it ABI incompatible with every cluster-glue version before and after. In fact this is the reason why 1.0.4 was immediately superseeded by 1.0.5, reverting this changeset. If people start mixing packages, e.g. by later using binary debian pacemaker or heartbeat packages against ubuntu binary glue, or vice versa, the whole stack will segfault. Also cluster-glue 1.0.5 includes some important interoperability changes (in the lrm) to better support pacemaker 1.0.8 (which ubuntu ships). Please urgently resync with Debian sid cluster-glue 1.0.5, and rebuild the whole stack: cluster-glue, heartbeat, pacemaker. It would be great if this can still happen before Lucid Final Release. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-ha Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-ha More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
