Title:
OCFS2 rejects mount option uhelper=hal
Status in “ocfs2-tools” package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ocfs2-tools
When I try to mount an OCFS2 on Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) via Gnome it
doesn't work. Digging in the problem I found out that the mount option
"uhelper=hal" is the problem. I got the following line with dmesg:
[ 3122.029040] (6285,0):ocfs2_parse_options:951 ERROR: Unrecognized
mount option "uhelper=hal" or missing value
It's not a serious bug, but an annoying one. My kernel is
2.6.28-15-generic, and OCFS2 packages version is 1.3.9-0ubuntu3.
