Public bug reported: Current version of cluster-glue ships a broken IPMI stonith plugin. Cause of that, every user upgrading from recent versions, using IPMI for stonith, will have a non working fencing system which can led to loss of data.
Upstream released 1.0.9 version of cluster-glue containing this fix and some other non-critical fixes and functionality. Instead of adding all of them, please just add this upstream patch. Upstream patch: http://hg.linux-ha.org/glue/rev/569bdebf7361 Since this bug makes cluster-glue unusable in all cases where users use IPMI for stonith and leads to loss of data, I'm marking this bug as critical. ** Affects: cluster-glue (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical Status: Confirmed ** Affects: cluster-glue (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Critical Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu High Availability Team, which is subscribed to cluster-glue in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980849 Title: FFe: please upload a fix for ipmi stonith plugin Status in “cluster-glue” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “cluster-glue” source package in Precise: Confirmed Bug description: Current version of cluster-glue ships a broken IPMI stonith plugin.
