This seems more like a nice-to-have, as I don't think there's any
functional issue with the differing whitespaces, is that correct? I
believe in this case Ubuntu inherits the default config file from
Debian: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-
haproxy/haproxy.git/tree/debian/haproxy.cfg. Would you be willing to
report this to Debian?

  haproxy default conf has mixed indendation

Status in haproxy package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  In /etc/haproxy/haproxy.conf

          timeout connect 5000
          timeout client  50000
          timeout server  50000

  
  These lines are 8 spaces, while the rest of the file is tabs.
