Release: heartbeat should be removed from main in Eoan+. It can be moved to universe. Rationale: Heartbeat was a part of the linux-ha project, and could either be used stand-alone ("haresources" mode), or as a part of the Pacemaker cluster resource manager[1]. However, Pacemaker's focus moved to use Corosync[2] and dependencies on heartbeat were dropped in the packaging. There is no longer any reference to heartbeat by pacemaker as corosync has completely replaced it today. Reverse depends or reverse build depends on heartbeat, except for two Suggests: ipvsadm and drbd-utils. ipvsadm allows it as an alternative to keepalived. drbd-utils supports it as one of several different optional integrations. 0: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/heartbeat/+bug/1735355 1: http://blog.clusterlabs.org/blog/2010/pacemaker-heartbeat-corosync-wtf 2: http://linux-ha.org/wiki/Site_news To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/heartbeat/+bug/1827416/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-ha Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-ha More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
