I'm a student from India. I'm ready to help the hams community by packaging and by providing an up-to-date PPA for all the popular ham radio applications. I think it would be a great help since some of those packages seen on the ham apps database are not even debianized. As the first step to it, I need some HOWTOs. I'm familiar with binary packaging for ubuntu systems. But I don't know how to do it with Source packages. Launchpad PPA doesn't support binary packages. And B package hosting is not so easy too. So can anyone provide me a good HOWTO document (for offline use) on "BUILDING DEBIAN SOURCE PACKAGES"...? If anyone in this team is free to spend such a document, I will use my time to update a PPA weekly for all such apps from this point.
Hope someone here can help me to help others...
