You should go to the Xastir listinfo page <http://lists.xastir.org/
cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/xastir> and check your subscription status.
Like Philip, I couldn't find anything from you in the searchable
archive.
You might try installing Xastir 1.9.9 via CVS. The online Open
Street Map support which was recently added is worth the effort.
With this new feature the development is changing quickly but I
wouldn't be at all surprised to see a new stable release soon, which
hopefully will result in updates to the various Linux distributions.

changes since some maps have gone offline. The version 1.9.9 has
recently added support for the OSM maps, so maybe you need to
