Hi all, I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the stack exchange group that's forming around amateur radio.
Stack exchange is a site that's divided by topical areas and set up in a question and answer format. Questions and answers are voted up and down based on how relevant and helpful they are. I've seen an Ubuntu-specific group used for several months, and it's turned out to be very effective - Much more so than forums, where the information tends to hang around long after it is obsolete. Here's the Ubuntu group: http://askubuntu.com/questions The amateur radio group is not specific to any operating system. It's in the definition phase, during which followers express an interest and set the tone for the group with example questions. The group needs 18 more followers to enter the next phase. This could be a really good resource for amateur radio, and a reliable source of information that will place high in search rankings. It would be great if it had international participation. If you're interested in participation, please go have a look: http://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/1795/amateur-radio Steve, AI4QR
