Apparently HRD has been sold, which I never downloaded/used, and there is much commentary. It's an interesting peak into the mindset of those locked into the world of proprietary software:
http://forums.qrz.com/showthread.php?312536-Development-to-continue-on-HRD.... It seesm that the DM780 software (not sure if that is included or not) uses GPL code from several authors according to this page: http://www.ham-radio-deluxe.com/Downloads/GPLOpenSourceCode.aspx It's unclear whether there is a GPL infringement issue. Apparently the authors involved were fine with the arrangement with Simon. Perhaps they had offered some sort of exemption. I really don't know and I would be speculatiing otherwise. At the end of the day, I think I'll stick with Free Software from the community. 73, de Nate >> -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds.
