I ended up with a lot of extra space in a suitcase, so I brought some ham gear.
I have my Softrock Ensemble RX/TX SDR, and have quisk running on my laptop.
Quisk is unpackaged for Debian/Ubuntu, but it makes a pretty easy demo with the
softrock.
I also brought my HT and arrow handheld antenna, so weather permitting, we could
sit by the pool and listen to some satellites.
I also have my KX1, but I've never had a good experience trying to make contacts
in a hotel environment.But if anyone at UDS wants to borrow it and throw a wire
over a palm tree, let me know and I'd be happy to work that out.
