I see no mention of Unicode on that page. I think that while the
acharya.iitm site has done some good work in the past, it is now
outdated. I think that our efforts would be better spent to fix
any remaining Malayalam rendering bugs in open-source software
like GNOME, KDE, OpenOffice, etc. That way, we get the benefit of
all the countless hours of work that go into writing, testing and
maintaining existing tools. One-off creations like this editor
might fill an immediate need, but, in my opinion, are rather
pointless in the long term.
