Looks like, there's some issue with the CD. Did you perform an integrity check? It is easier to install using the GUI that comes with the default Live-cum-installable CD. Therefore, you have few options. If have unlimited downloads at a reasonably good speed (say 128 Kbps), you could download 7.04, perform the necessary checks (Md5 etc.) and burn it to a CD-RW.
