Friends i installed gutsy on my AMD Athlon desktop on saturday after a learning
session in gparted(thats another story) but finally it was installed. here is
my opinion/impression at this point of time(keep in mind i am a lay user)

Its buggy. At times its troublesome to the point of being useless. The colors
and interfacing seems good but its freezing out all the time. since last 2 days
it must have required a restart 7 times. I thought synaptic was the culprit but
i am not sure now. i was using oowriter and suddenly criss cross lines appear
on desktop background from nowhere. At times in firefox the webpage contents
seem to spill out of the window border. At times the menu bar of the desktop
grays out in patches.
6.06 was STABLE , no VERY STABLE and hardly ever required a reboot and hardly
ever froze.
Those of you who are from computer field please tell me how can a software
which has been tested thoroughly in beta version by widespread community, have
such problems?
Do i need to do some xorg stuff? Please guide.

regards
nanbudh
