I've posted my notes for installation on an HP tx1003au laptop. A lot of issues faced(audio, wifi, boot params) should be common for many recent HP laptops. http://www.codepencil.com/?p=9
My install was not very smooth but same was the case with feisty. My first impression is not too bad. I love the way the screen dims automatically when laptop is not in use. I think that is a great feature for saving battery. I also like the improved icons in the menu. The only problem was that it took me a lot of time to figure out how to disable compiz. I don't use it because it doesn't work with VNC.
