Hmm, if you are not looking at latest processors then you should be able to get a deal in India itself. Alternatively if you happen to know anyone coming from Thailand, you can ask them to carry a lappy with them. Free trade agreement between Thailand and India allow carrying of one or two packed laptops (not sure about real numbers).
