Hi Some time earlier i posted a query asking about installing a linux (ubuntu in this case) on an external device and how the grub would react - would there be a separate grub loader for the external device and for the machine it works with.
The answer was that the grub was / is resident on the external disk so the grub loader on the machine (laptop in my case) would remain intact. Following this is had two queries actually 1.
