But I have seen people to manage without a mess mostly, if they have not installed a lot of extra apps from the base installation. If you end in problems, you may try to update the corresponding packages (and its dependencies if necessary), and complete your upgrade.

If you are still with the base install and nothing more, you need not do anything to the repos.
