I have been using KDE in Ubuntu installation for more than an year.
Though there were some app related issues when I cross used, it was a
smooth sail. Still I use a lot of KDE apps in GNOME, things work fine.

Right-click on the GNOME Desktop gives me "Create Document" option, but
I can create only empty file as it report "No templates installed". May
be some one with OO should check and revert ;)
