Hmm, this is an interesting problem :P - is it possible for you to try and
get / borrow clean RAM from someone and try replacing your RAM, re-run
memtest, and also see if Ubuntu works better with the new RAM.. at least
that would isolate the problem for sure. And err.. if the RAM is faulty for
sure, it is probably a good idea to replace it, regardless of whether
Windows runs okay or not. Although that is interesting, and I hope someone
else on the list can shed more light on that...
