It is futile to argue about something that is out in the open. I admit that dell is offering support for ubuntu hardy but in those early days, there was no support available for gutsy. Anyways no point in talking about the past. Even now, the dell linux wiki comes with a disclaimer about no technical support being available.
Last but not the least, my dear Onkar, I am running ubuntu hardy on a Dell Inspiron 1420. And maybe thats one of the reasons why I fell for a Dell. My objection is to the fact that all laptop users are being forced to buy windows vista, and that I think is a major impedance to widespread adoption of ubuntu, and linux.
