Here's more info about Mallikarjun's problem:
1. He has a Dell XPS M1530 laptop
2. He is using Hardy Heron
3. He has an Airtel Broadband connection!
4. And I think he is trying to connect the wires to his internal 56K Conexant
RD02 modem.
Mallikarjun: First of all, I think you should take help from Airtel people.
Secondly, you are using the wrong modem. They should have given you an external
ADSL modem, which you should connect to your laptop using an ethernet cable
(you can also use a USB cable, but it will be a little slower). Ethernet
connection is simpler to configure (no drivers reqd) and it is faster than a
USB connection.
