Hi, This is not directly related to the problem posted in the list, but can surely help in fuguring out more information. Please see the script 'compiz-check' available at http://forlong.blogage.de/article/pages/Compiz-Check . It's a shell script that will check all the (graphics) drivers installed on your system and also test your configurations. It's a handy tool, when it comes to figuring out basic settings for running compiz. Another thing you can check is the frames per second that your card and driver combo is giving, by running 'glxgears'. It's a basic benchmarking tool found on all Linux systems (afaik) and is also quite popular on Windows. Run it and compare your score with others who have the same hardware/driver combo. Hope this helps... :)

It really is irritating at times to go through the entire mail, to find that only 2 new lines were added to the entire mail... -- ubuntu-in mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-in
