Beats restarting the machine to get into windows again and again and also sidesteps the partitioning issues. There is almost no loss of performance for typical productivity apps. I have a Pentium dual core 2.0Ghz machine with 4 gb ram, 1GB Geforce 8600 gt graphics, its capable enough to run crysis and GTA4 at decent graphics settings.
