I am not sure, but I too had faced a similar problem, and did this.  I
think that there was a change somewhere, which we haven't noticed.
Need to scan through the changelogs of Ubuntu.  By the way, unless you
have a multi user setup, this should do for you.  But, in case you do
have a multiuser setup, you could either copy paste the .fonts folder,
or symlink all of them to point to a common fonts folder.

Yeah. I'd tried it while mailing it in.  That's why I specified Konqueror.
