नमस्ते शशांक, Good that you know the typewriter layout.
System->Preferences->SCIM Input Method Setup Now a GUI pops up. Inside that IMEngine ->Global Setup Now you can see list of Indian languages Select Hindi and within that 'typewriter' (I cross checked these details on fedora11 PC at hand but should be same) If you are regular user of Hindi and would like to use a elegant and complete solution, I would suggest using Inscript layout. Its keys are laid out logically. There are also good quality keyboards (from TVS) available in market. http://anektameekta.blogspot.com/2009/03/devnagri-hindi-typing-complete-solution.html नमस्ते, सुरेश 2009/10/10 Mallikarjun <[email protected]>: > On Sat, Oct 10, 2009 at 3:43 AM, Shashank Sahni <[email protected]> > wrote: >> >> Hi, >> I am using Ubuntu 9.04 and wanted tu use Hindi.
