@onkar 40_custom entries were in a single line.It was the problem while pasting into gmail It should be in a single line as you said. It Worked! I did not modify anything .Itt seems that lucid is not friendly with my hardware --so it hangs. However you cannot install to the hard-disk in which your ISO is located as all the partitions were required to be unmounted during installation. I have installed lucid but now it hangs at the GDM login screen ( same as it did when i first booted from iso) ,will collect more details and will send a new mail if help is needed. Thanks -- srihari
