H.D.D: External, portable. 500 GB, Seagate ( Connect by usb and has the supply power) Using Linux : 10.04 Ubuntu * Dear * two day ago when i try to use the external hard disk, but it does not show any mount or devise on linux.
After that i try to use in XP, it showing error which the devise can not open and need to formatting. As we worked on that external H.D.D, the Partition table currept. it will be take time to recovery data, but my question is how Linux can change or Unmount the external H.D.D. automatically?! and change the partition table?! Is the possible?!! Thanks,
