I dont know about Google Earth because i do not use it, but you DONT need
3-4GB RAM to run 64bit. I have used 64bit Opensuse and 64bit Ubuntu all
along with just 512MB RAM. Its only last year that I switched to 2GB RAM. My
logic is simple - If your processor is 64 bit then its best to use 64bit OS.
