Hi
Am actually looking for two advise one is OT
The first is what software is there that can be used to connect a
mobile phone to ubuntu and then use Ubuntu to do some messaging
through the mobile
*I think* your view has limitations, If *only* my understanding is correct
why should Ubuntu connect to your mobile to send messages? There are lot
of free services like yahoo mail, through which can send messages to
many mobile phones.
If you want to connect to mobile for some reason, I don't know for sure
if there are any.
Basically i would like to start a sms based news / alert service.
Second question which is OT - what kind of mobile phones have this
compatibility.
Most modern mobile os have very good capabilities.
Symbian, Android, IOS. Also one has choices over programming languages
as well, like python, Java.
would appreciate responses
However a note - this is not to find out how to start up a mobile spam
service but a rural news / relevant alert (weather, disaster etc) service
I really appreciate your idea.
