Hello,

Has anyone managed to get the Vodafone 3G dongle to work on Ubuntu?

The Vodafone store claim it to be ZTE.

lsusb shows:

Bus 002 Device 004: ID 19d2:1008 ONDA Communication S.p.A.

Vodafone says no user name password, network manager detects it but is not able to connect, log files shows.

I tried gnome-ppp and wvdial too, but no luck.

On a separate note, reliance has said its 3G will offer 21MBbs speeds if you purchase the HSDPA+ dongle from ZTE. Has this been launched anywhere? Any one tried it? Any known compatiblity issues?
