Immediately - the availability of linux mint 10 ISO (and Ubuntu
Ultimate ). The netbook version of Ubuntu is about 696 mb and will
take a few days to download (about 5-8 days)

Second - i have installed mint on an atom processor desktop and have
not found it lacking - good speeds on everything.

My mom has a dell netbook initially running Ubuntu netbook but when it
was upgraded (over the net) it reverted to the normal version.
