Hi All,

I am ubuntu user for more than 5 years now. I upgraded to ubuntu 10.10 2
months back.

I use a Desktop having Dual Core 1.6 GHz processor with 1 GB RAM. I use to
use Mozilla Firefox, OO docs, google chrome, Flock at the same time and
system was not giving any problem.

But memory consumption of this system is very high.. with only mozilla
firefox my memory consumption is more than 900 MB(free -m). Mozilla crashes
if i open any youtube videos or any other flash application in firefox, or
if I run any other application my system automatically shuts down some
application.

Is anyone else facing this problem?

Is there any way to reduce memory consumption by Mozilla? I have disabled
compiz in ubuntu.
