I don't think we are/will be duplicating efforts. If there is
information somewhere
else why write it again. But there are so many threads on the
mailing list asking about modem xyz (usually sold in India) not
working, etc. It is
difficult to find information about these on 'global' sites since they
may not be very
popular elsewhere. The site is intended to target that kind of audience.

That is the intended change. The website should be the primary source
of information
and if it still does not work out, the user comes to mailing list and irc.
