Please attach the file, anyone can help you. You are using the same keyboard layout from several years, so you can copy the file from other computers and try it in your pc. Before going to do this compare the two files you will find the difference. You cant see the spaces by looking at the file so please check it carefully. I'm damn sure it was arised due to mim file only and not by gedit or ibus.
