When I do a net install, I use a local cache, but that gets saved into /etc/apt/apt.conf:Acquire::http::Proxy "http://cp333:8000/";
which is no good for laptops that leave the building and want to apt-get something somewhere else. I am using squid-deb-proxy and client - is there some way to use the avahi client? doubt it, so is there some way to use the proxy but not get the setting saved into /etc/apt/apt.conf ? http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick/squid-deb-proxy-client -- Carl K -- Ubuntu-installer mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-installer
