Hello, I apologize if this bug/suggestion has been reported.
I ran into a usability problem when I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 alongside Windows 7. The problem is with regards to the partitioning subsystem. I instructed the installer to install Ubuntu alongside Windows, and the installer responded by asking me to choose the appropriate partition sizes. However, this screen did indicate which partition was which. Murphy's law banged its gavel; I made the Ubuntu partition much smaller than I meant to. I suppose that on a theoretical level I should have known that Windows would have to be on the first partition, but I definitely did not remember this at the time. In any case, it seems to me that labeling the partitions "Windows" and "Ubuntu" (or some variation on that theme) would make this fact clear, at a relatively low cost. Thank you for your attention.
