That sounds better, because most of the non-default apps use the behavior you described.
-- Misinformation on Notification Area https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/605194 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Manual Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Manual. Status in Ubuntu Manual: New Bug description: \marginnote{To remove an applet, right-click on it and select \button{Remove From Panel.} To add a new applet to a panel, right-click in a clear area on the panel and select \button{Add to Panel.}}% Left-clicking icons in the notification area will bring up a list of options, and in some cases right-clicking an icon will also perform an action related to that program. For example, to adjust the volume, simply left-click once on the volume icon and a volume slider will appear. Click the date and time applet to open a small calendar, and then click a specific date to add a reminder to your calendar through \application{Evolution} (see \chaplink{ch:default-applications} for more information on \application{Evolution}). -- It says that "Left-clicking icons in the notification area will bring up a list of options, and in some cases right-clicking an icon will also perform an action related to that program." Left clicking may open the app (Blueman), hide the app (VLC) or show option. I propose changing it to "Left-clicking icons in the notification area will bring up a list of options, show or hide the app. In some cases right-clicking an icon will also perform an action related to that program." _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
