Status in Ubuntu Manual: Fix Released
Bug description:
Rev. 788
Ch. 3, § "Changing an existing wireless network", p. 48 (PDF p. 50)
Type: consistency
The bottom of p. 47 refers to "an SSID", while the bottom of p. 48 refers to "a
SSID". In my experience this is spoken letter for letter rather than said as an
acronym, which makes the text:
A[n] SSID is the wireless connection’s network name—if set incorrectly, the
network may not be detected and a connection may not be made.
If, however, the consensus is for the acronym, then p. 47 should be changed
instead. Either way, being consistent is better.
