"To move a file or directory, select the item to move, then click Edit ‣
Cut. Navigate to the desired location, then click Edit ‣ Paste. If you
click on a file or directory, drag it, then hold down the Alt key and
drop it to your destination directory, a menu will appear asking whether
you want to copy, move, or link the item."
No Edit ‣ Cut or Edit ‣ Paste
"To open a second window when browsing a directory in Files, select File
‣ New Window or press Ctrl+N . This will open a new window, allowing you
to drag files and/or directories between two locations. To open a new
tab, click File ‣ New Tab or press Ctrl+T"
