Hi guys!

Please let me introduce myself:

My name is Leo and I'm currently living in Nicaragua. I have a small company
that provides open source support and solutions for the nicaraguan
community. Our work consist mainly in promote Linux (specifically Ubuntu) as
an alternative to propietary software, but we also assist Windows users who
wants to use open source software (ie OOo instead of MS Office) at work or
in their personal computers.

We are currently working on an interesting project in association with the
nicaraguan rock artists community. On June 2nd. we are going to have a
concert with some rock bands and electronic music dj's in order to promote
the use of open source solutions. The event is called "Rock the mouse" and
future plans include the release of a CD with open source software (OOo,
Firefox, Thunderbird, The Gimp, etc.) and a collection of free music (mp3)
from Nicaragua.

I wonder if anyone have similar experiences of cooperation between artists
or musicians and the open source community in order to assists us in the
planification of this activity.

Try contacting jamendo.com ... They're doing a great work in France, and are trying to become more international!
