If you haven't heard all ready I am organizing a huge (up to 300 people) at Helia University of Applied Science in Helsinki on Free software day, September 15th this year.##To give you and update... I still don't have a speaker for Ubuntu(except for me) I am begging for a representative or someone in the area of Helsinki to speak to an English audience of students and teachers about Ubuntu linux. ##BOOTH me up! I am also having booth area available for use from companies that I choose. Ubuntu is on the top of this list. If there is some booth or someone who would like to help with this please email me. ##Paper work... the good kind... I am gathering paperwork about linux and free software. In addition I have 95 Ubuntu CD's and plan to get some more to pass around to anyone at Helia for the week of September 15th. I would like some posters, fliers, or other items that would help with the event. Heck, if Mr. Shuttleworth is willing to sponsor all this go for it! The event is free for students and we are encouraging all students and teachers to come. ##Clothing... I don't have any good clothes for the event(besides a shirt and tie)... care to lend a shirt, cap, bag, or other what not? I am low on cash and purchasing clothes in Finland is far to expensive! All dates are now very solid, unless I get sponsor ship from Ubuntu and they ask me to change things. :) But speaking time and other items are all still very flexible. The school staff are excited about the event as they have never had something like this come from a student. Anyone willing to help may contact me in any of the ways mentioned below. And by the way, 60% of my class are from Africa! Once again, thank you everyone... -- Jason Brower
Jason, Have you asked Canonical for a conference pack? They can get them to you if you ask soon enough. Corey -- ubuntu-marketing mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-marketing
