Hello Melissa, all,

It's always great to see new material, adapted for local needs. Some
time ago i designed a similar flyer in french and spanish, check the
layout that lets you staple a business card:

http://www.fabianrodriguez.com/blog/archives/2005/11/21/mieux-initier-les-gens-a-ubuntu-et-les-logiciels-libres/#more-378

I am personally against distributing free CDs in large quantities at
this moment in Ubuntu's life :) I think it was crucial to its current
base of "human being" users, but I'd rather adapt the printed material
and produce a better packe for lending in libraries. Take a look to
Ubuntu in libraries:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuInLibraries

I also strongly believ it's important to mention why we should be using
free software (which includes Ubuntu) and explain what freedoms that
includes. The fact that Ubuntu doesn't directly include non-free
sotfware is actually * a good thing * and I would take the mp3 / codecs
/ java " warning" and turn it into an advantage, such as "Ubuntu Linux
subscribes to the principles of free software, while letting you access
and install non-free software..." of course some explanation is in
order. I have found that gnu.org and fsf.org are good source of
information but always be careful and keep in mind the tone may change
when adressing community groups, business people or other "human
beings". Most of all keep it simple ;)

A few comments about your flyer:
- I think it's great you focus on support, I'd try to mention any
*local* community (free) support you may have available first, then
chanel those who need commercial support to the ubuntu site's list of
commercial support providers.
- The IRC information is too technical in nature, perhaps just
mentioning one of the URLs where such help and informationon IRC can be
obtained would leave more space for other information
- It would be nice to mention the option to install as Dual-boot
- Mentioning architectures always need you'll be missing some as there
seems to be lots of action particularly regarding servers :)

Gotta go now, but by all means let us know how you change your flyers
and add them to:

Fabian Rodriguez
