I've changed the MarketingTeam page on the wiki to describe us as:
"We're here to promote Ubuntu's up-take by telling people about what we have to offer and listening to what they need. All Ubuntu people are part of its marketing effort. We hope to support them by advocating marketing techniques and by performing the marketing activity not already undertaken elsewhere. Ubuntu Bug #1 is our inspiration, as is our belief that Ubuntu is the best way to spread free software." Any comments? It draws in Jenda's idea that we're here to do the marketing things that other teams don't already do, but also that we're keen to promote proven marketing techniques (well, I personally am). The commitment to free software is pretty important too, IMO. -- Matthew Revell www.understated.co.uk -- ubuntu-marketing mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-marketing
