My request is that you point me to, if not set up at my suggestion, a resource where artists (animators especially) can find specific, articulated messages currently of interest to your Marketing Team.  Members of the artist community at large could select projects from this list and then on their own, or in groups (perhaps even tying in to their connections at open source communities like blender- or GIMP-users)  "compete" for the right to be used by Canonical.  (I actually think cash prizes are not the best idea here.)

The Marketing Team could act like a CEO receiving bids from ad agencies, and us unorganized base of artists be the competing ad agencies. What I propose is probably entirely disruptive to how a regular marketing operation would work at a typical corporation, and would involve some redundant and un-used effort. (But to artists at heart, who cares?!)  This would be an implementation that IMNSHO is the most in tune with the ubuntu value of INCLUSIVITY.

I am: Greg M. Johnson, hobbyist animator  (typical work is here, but perhaps not the best I can do :  http://tinyurl.com/n2e86   ).
I've often felt that only if I were able to have something of import to work on, I could be inspired produce better material. pro bono, of course.
