Dear Ubuntu Team, I'm following developments in your system with great interest as I wish to migrate to Linux once and for all ASAP. However, since I'm not a Linux professional, there is one key feature that keeps me from doing this right now - lack of ddccontrol-like software. I have Samsung's Syncmaster 173P Plus, which has no integrated OSD and with my resolution (1280x1024) Ubuntu is not displayed properly on my monitor (the desktop seems to be "moved" ca. 1cm right, meaning I have a 1cm wide black line on the left, and 1cm of my desktop is "hidden" behind monitor's frame on the right).
